i like being spontaneous .. i dont usually like to plan .. it just come out of no where .. for example .. one fine day during my study week (one week before final exams) .. i was in the library .. trying to stuff all those facts into the brain and suddenly i went out .. started my car and there i was on the way to watch BULI at Sunway Pyramid .. another incident took place yesterday (thursday ) .. i woke up .. cook rice for the little brats and then there i was on a cab on my way to Pyramid to watch THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW .. talk about being spontaneous??

This movie takes a big-budget, special-effects-filled look at what the world would look like if the greenhouse effect and global warming continued at such levels that they resulted in worldwide catastrophe and disaster, including multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, floods and the beginning of the next Ice Age. At the center of the story is a paleoclimatologist (a scientist who studies the ways weather patterns changed in the past), Professor Adrian Hall (Quaid), who tries to save the world from the effects of global warming while also trying to get to his son, Sam (Gyllenhaal), who was in New York City as part of a scholastic competition, when the city was overwhelmed by the chilling beginnings of the new Ice Age. In addition to all of the other challenges Dr. Hall faces, he's also going against the flow as humanity races south to warmer climes, and he's nearly the only one going north.

berikut adalah gambaran untuk cerita di atas (my understandings of the movie) .. this movie basically shows how the administrations of US are thoughtless and arrogants .. they (as usual) thinks nothing are better than their supreme power .. a paleoclimatologist tried to warn them about the coming worldwide catastrophe and disaster, including multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, floods and the beginning of the next Ice Age that could kill thousands of mankind but the administration (in this case .. it was the vice president) choose to ignore until it was too late .. one part of the dialogue(when it was to late to do anything):

mr.vice president : Hall, what should we do now?
hall (the scientist) : it's too late

in this movie, the audience now have the chance to see US residents running for shelters in nearby country (in which it would be very rare in the reality) .. statue of liberty ditenggelami air (i could not get the english word for this ... ) .. it is just like watching the kemusnahan of US empire .. sighs .. how interesting .. not being bias or anything but somehow if it happens in reality it will pays for all the damages that they had done to other countries .. right?
other than seeing US being buried under ice .. this story also shows the meaning of trust .. (this can be seen within the scientist and his son) and nothing is impossible if we believe in it (how the survivals of the ice age survive under freezing weather ..)..
finally .. the special effects was awesome!!! i am not sure was it the air-cond or the special effects .. but it was damn cold in the cinema .. so to those who have not watch this movie .. GO ON!!
